R2COM Transnational Consortium Meeting in Albania

UNITED team attended the R2COM Transnational Consortium Meeting in Albania on 27-28th of April to discuss the details and next steps in the project. The project consortium had a fruitful discussion on how to implement the project to achieve the promised goals, and improve civil societies’ involvement in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE).

With partners from eight European countries, we could analyse and address the needs and gaps in the P/CVE field. Partner organisations and Albanian officials working on P/CVE shared their insights, and exchanged their competencies and expertise. Thanks to this we could see the new innovative ways that are envisioned to connect the civil society with other agencies, and to promote cooperation in the prevention of radicalisation.

Together with the consortium we agreed on the strategies to be adopted in order to have sustainable project results and to prepare for the next steps in the project, involving the implementation of  tailor-made, and needs-oriented training programmes.

The project is coordinated by Les Militants Des Savoirs (France), with partners from various European countries including IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (Portugal), Associazione Carcere e Territorio (Italy), Partners Kosova Center for Conflict Management (Kosovo), Albanian Helsinki Committee (Albania), Transform (Sweden), Crime Prevention Fund – IGA (Bulgaria) and United for Intercultural Action (Hungary).
