MILAN 20 MAY 2017: AGAINST RACISM – NOT WORDS BUT SOLIDARITY!

AGAINST THE RACIST AND XENOPHOBIC RHETORIC OF THE RIGHT-WING, which 72 years after the defeat of nazism and fascism, has reintroduced scapegoating, pinning on migrants’ responsibility for the crisis;

AGAINST THE RHETORIC OF GOOD WILL of those who speak about “welcome” but in fact support legislation and practices driving to exploitation, exclusion and crimes;

We refuse the distinction between “legal” and “illegal” migrants that generates the fear of the “clandestine” and with that disseminates racism, and we strongly assert that NO ONE IS ILLEGAL.

We counter racism establishing mutual support and spaces for reciprocal knowledge; natives and migrants, we struggle together for the rights of everyone, in the awareness of sharing the same future. Our concrete propositions, that will soon be publicly presented in a more developed way:

– NO TO THE “MINNITI-ORLANDO” DECREES, NO TO THE SEMI-SECRET PACTS WITH DICTATORS AND PHANTOM GOVERNMENTS;
– RADICAL REFORM OF THE EUROPEAN AND ITALIAN MIGRATION POLICY;
– SUPPORT SOCIAL INCLUSION BEGINNING FROM LOCAL INSTITUTIONS.

Starting from these goals, we invite all the citizens to take to the streets with us on 20 May: IN MILAN NO ONE IS ILLEGAL!
