European Action Week Against Racism – 16-24 March 2019
Every year around 21 March, the UNITED network coordinates the European-wide Action Week Against Racism and calls upon the international community to bring an end to racism, discrimination and intolerance. We urge NGOs, community organisations, schools, local councils and all manner of groups and individuals to join forces and confront racism with direct action. Whether by organising activities, supporting others, or spreading the message we encourage ourselves and others to stand hand in hand for diversity.
This year’s Action Week Against Racism will take place between 16-24 March under the slogan Time To Be UNITED. We believe that now is the time to show that no matter the distance between us, we are all united in our efforts to combat discrimination, united in our goal to create cooperative, diverse European societies.
That is why this year we ask you to organise your activities around the theme of face-to-face meetings. Motivate people from all backgrounds to meet personally, and talk, sing, dance, eat, play, share, celebrate together!
Following the latest changes in Hungary, UNITED's operations have come under intense threat.
