This winter, our Advocacy Advisor at UNITED, Neringa Tumėnaitė, embarked on a journey of interfaith collaboration, joining several key delegations across the globe 🌍
📍 First Stop: The European Policy Forum organized by the International Dialogue Centre – KAICIID in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where Neringa discussed research findings on the role of faith actors in addressing hate speech online and offline.
🌟 Highlight: Speaking at a side-event at the first-ever Faith Pavilion at the UN Climate Conference, COP28, in Dubai, UAE. The panel, hosted by our partner organisation – the Mediterranean Youth Foundation – highlighted the intersection between spirituality and climate action. You can listen to the panel discussion here. and read Neringa’s op-ed on the case of forest protection in Lithuania here.
Coalition building across diverse communities is essential in order to address global challenges and foster peace-building efforts in the current tumultuous times. At UNITED we are committed to continue our collaborations with both faith and secular organisations.
