Campaign and Communication Assistant
Internship Overview
Join UNITED as a Campaign and Communication Assistant to help drive the digital presence and impact of a dynamic international network. Work remotely or in a hybrid format from our Budapest office, contributing to innovative initiatives and major campaigns that promote social change across Europe.
Location: Remote or Hybrid (office in Budapest)
Duration: Minimum 3 months, ideally 6–12 months
Commitment: Part-time (Flexible, approx. 15–20 hours per week)
Conditions: Unpaid internship; possible contribution towards food and local transport. Both part-time and full-time applications considered.
Key Responsibilities
Our top priority is finding interns to primarily support the following tasks:
- Launching and managing UNITED’s Tiktok page;
- Launching and managing UNITED’s threads and bluesky page
Additionally, the candidate will be expected to:
- Collaborate on campaign development, design, and execution (notably March 21st, June 20th, and November 9th)
- Support a wide range of social media activities: crafting updates, promoting events, and creating audiovisual content
- Assist in producing and delivering visual materials and graphics
- Cover UNITED’s events through photography and videography
- Contribute to make engaging articles and content for UNITED’s E-News
What We’re Looking For
Ideal Qualifications:
- Educational or practical background in arts, content creation, marketing, or journalism
- Experience executing social media campaigns
- Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe, Photoshop)
- Skills in audiovisual production (camera work, audio, video editing)
- Public speaking experience
- Proficiency in languages beside English (especially German and/or French)
- Demonstrated engagement in anti-racist initiatives or activism
Minimum Requirements:
- C1 English language proficiency
- Confident use of major social media platforms
- Strong media literacy
- Meets at least two of the above desired qualifications
- Availability for at least 15 hours per week
- Creativity and a proactive attitude

Network Correspondent
Internship Overview
Become a key part of UNITED as a Network Correspondent, helping strengthen pan-European efforts against racism and supporting meaningful engagement across a dynamic network. You will work remotely or in a hybrid role from our Budapest office, collaborating with a committed international team on a range of advocacy and coordination projects
Location: Remote or Hybrid (office in Budapest)
Duration: Minimum 3 months, ideally 6–12 months
Commitment: Part-time (Flexible, approx. 15–20 hours per week)
Conditions: Unpaid internship; possible contribution towards food and local transport. Both part-time and full-time applications considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of the European Address Book Against Racism
- Monitor and follow up on Network Supporter activity and profile updates
- Develop new engagement opportunities for Network Supporters (such as campaigns, working groups, and project consortia)
- Represent UNITED as a delegate at international conferences and events
- Support internal network administration, including data categorisation and organisational tasks
- Track and report on ongoing European civil society initiative
- Contribute articles and content to UNITED’s E-News publications
What We’re Looking For
Ideal Qualifications:
- Academic background in Communications, International Relations, European Studies, or Policy
- Prior understanding of intergovernmental and international institutions (EU, CoE, UN)
- Previous experience with NGO communications or network engagement
- Strong language skills beyond English (especially German and/or French)
- Demonstrated commitment to anti-racist action or activism
- Familiarity with UNITED Supporters and UNITED activities
Requirements:
- C1 English skills;
- Media Literacy;
- Matching at least 2 desired qualifications;
- Availability for minimum 15 hours a week;
- Ability to work independently.
