DO YOU KNOW YOUR BIAS?

Do you know your Bias?

Do you know your Bias?

As we have been reminding for years now, the 21st of March is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, observed annually on the day the police in Sharpeville, South Africa, opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration against apartheid “pass laws” in 1960.
For this reason this day is the core of our European Action Week Against Racism. According to United Nations the 2023 theme of the International Day focuses on the urgency of combatting racism and racial discrimination, 75 years after the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), because 75 years afterwards, we’re still here discussing these things.
Yesterday we introduced the topic of bias, trying to spread some basic info and provide some sources to try and understand better these dynamics that impact so many people.

LET’S FIND OUT!

True knowledge starts always from within though, so we would like to share with you this little NON scientific test that we made to ask ourselves some questions we are not always comfortable knowing the answers of.
Don’t worry, it’s totally anonymous and we’re NOT collecting anyone’s answers, we just want to raise awareness and to invite people to critically reflect on their impact.
So enjoy the test and please contact us on our social media or write at info@unitedagainstracism.org if you would like to know more about this or other racism related topic and keep following the Action Week’s contents to discover some useful insights on biases.
You can find the test in the QR code in the image, at this link or below.
