Organization Overview

UNITED for Intercultural Action is a pan-European network dedicated to promoting human rights, combating racism, and fostering solidarity across diverse communities. With a strong presence in over 30 European countries, we advocate for equality, social justice, and intercultural dialogue. Our work involves collaborating with NGOs, activists, and stakeholders to create meaningful change in society.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Set and implement the strategic direction of UNITED, ensuring the organization maintains its impact across Europe.
  • Campaign Oversight: Lead campaigns and advocacy initiatives, driving partnerships and collaborative projects throughout the network.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster communication and collaboration with NGOs, activists, and external stakeholders, including governments and advocacy networks.
  • Team Management: Oversee a diverse, multinational team, promoting values of equality, inclusion, and social justice within the organization.
  • Project Management: Manage complex projects with a multicultural focus, ensuring effective implementation and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven leadership experience in NGOs, particularly in human rights or intercultural dialogue.
  • Advocacy Knowledge: Strong understanding of advocacy and policy-making in European contexts.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, networking, and leadership abilities.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, multicultural projects effectively.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage.

Employment Details

  • Type: Part-time position with a potential extension to Full-Time 
  • Location: Based in Budapest, with options for hybrid or fully remote work.
  • Salary: Competitive, based on an agreed-upon rate.
