Overview
UNITED is looking for a Fundraising Officer to strengthen its mission and impact
Position: Fundraising Officer
Location: Budapest Office/Remote
Duration: Permanent Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying the best funding options for the organisation;
- Writing grant applications (EU, CoE, Foundations, etc.);
- Diversifying the fiscal portfolio of the organisation;
- Managing the organisation’s finances in projects;
- Providing monthly reports;
- Coordinating tasks with administration, accounting and the directorate;
- Coordinating interns within the department;
- Participation in weekly staff meetings
What We’re Looking For
Key Requirements:
- At least two years of experience in a similar position within the civil sphere;
- At least two years of experience in writing European grant applications;
- In depth knowledge of European Grant schemes (Predominantly EU and CoE);
- In depth knowledge of Foundational Grant schemes active in Europe;
- Proven capabilities of designing fiscal portfolios and project budgets;
- Professional user in Microsoft Office 360 and Google suite;
- Fluency in English;
- Capability to work independently
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experiences in grant alternative civil society funding
(Crowdfunding, CSR, Private Donors, Merchandise, etc.); - Strong interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in French, German, Hungarian;
- Pre-existing network within the civil sphere;
- Experience in utilising AI software effectively;
- Knowledge of Hungarian regulations and institutions
(in particular concerning accounting and employment); - Previous knowledge / affiliation to UNITED
