Day of Action to Mark the third Anniversary of Family Migration Rules

This 9th of July is the third anniversary of family migration rules, which have impacted thousands of families across the UK. MRN will be joining other activists and organisations in marking the day by organisins a meeting in Parliament.Below is a list of planned activities for 9th July If you would like to attend the meeting in Parliament it is essential you book a place via Eventbrite. www.eventbrite.co.uk
– 11am – 1pm, Meeting in the Houses of Parliament (committee room 9) hosted by Migrants Rights Network. We will hear from families, campaigners, lawyers, politicians, plus more. Topics covered: MM case, where we go from here, working with other groups, EU treaty rights, Human Rights Act….
– 2pm – 3pm, Divided Families demo outside the Home Office (Marsham St, London)
– 3pm onwards Lunch/drinks session at the Red Lion pub.
Children are very welcome. Also bring banners, posters (maybe photo of the family member who cant be there) for the demo, but if you’re also attending the meeting in Parliament don’t forget that items need to clear security checks.
This will be a great opportunity to meet others impacted by these rules, make new friends, meet old ones, show solidarity and make your voice heard.”
