UNITED Against Deadly Border Policies – 2025

June 2025 66.519 people dead at the borders of Fortress Europe.

The 2025 update of UNITED List of Refugee Deaths is here. In 2024 they were 60.620, meaning that more than six thousands people died because of the policies of Fortress Europe, because of our inhumane border policies, that are getting worse, in Europe and all over the world.

“They tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds.” — Now it’s up to water them.

When did we start thinking that it was ok to dispose of the lives and of the destinies of other people? When did we start thinking that wanting to flee death and war is a crime for which people should feel guilty?

Every time we normalize border violence or bureaucratic cruelty, we surrender part of our own humanity and so far we caused the death of …people

How would things look if you had to cross that border?

TAKE ACTION NOW!
This World Refugee Day, we challenge the myth of neutrality at borders. We call for solidarity, justice, and real systemic change.
